Key Concept #6 Media have social and political implications: A vision of students tomorrow
I think that technology will have become more advanced. Technology is changing and becoming better all the time. We have new cell phones and ipods coming out all the time and those companies who own these products are looking to change them and make them better and add more things to them to make people throw out their old things are buy the new ones. The future students are probably going to know more about computers and technology then our generation ever did because they are being born into a world where technology is always changing and they can keep up with it better then we can. An example would be my 4 year old cousin; he's already a computer wiz, he can download games off the internet and then play them at his will. He's so smart and know what to do when the computer gets too slow or the game he's playing isn’t working anymore. If at 4 his generation can already do that just wait until they are a bit older. They could be hacking into things and working around the web like pros. This could be both good and bad, good in a way that we wouldn't have to teach these kids about how to use the computer as much as we needed to be taught how to. Although a bad thing could be that we'd need higher security for banks and other government things in case of hackers coming out with better technology. All in all you can never know what is going to happen but you can guess by the trends set now and how they have changed so much from the past.
